Agnes Jaoui writes/directs/produces and stars in this film alongside her partner Jean-Pierre Bacri. As a formidable French cinematic team, they have won awards for previous collaborations such as LOOK AT ME (Comme une image, 2004) in which it was the Winner of the Cannes Golden Palm and also took Best Screenplay. In this film, Agnes plays a feminist politician and has been known for her involvement in French politics in real life.
 
This film also stars Jamel Debbouze - who starred in AMELIE and the controversial French political film DAYS OF GLORY about French-African soldiers who were exploited in World War II.
